Karzai: ‘Apology Accepted. Now Punish the Evil Doers!’
This is not a joke, unfortunately. After receiving Obama’s handwritten letter, Karzai responded to the gesture by telling the Afghan people: He was speaking to them after discussing the matter with “jihadi leaders,” “prominent scholars,” and Afghan elected officials, and … Continue reading

A proper rebuttal to a New York Times editorial, ‘End of the Clash of Civilizations.’
A very disturbing display of empty-headedness was published over the weekend in a New York Times editorial, titled, “End of the Clash of Civilizations.” In summary, the document of naiveté worked very hard (excluding any evidence, citations, or opinion from others) to show that President Obama effectively ended the Clash of Civilizations because of his recent speech (notably in Istanbul, Turkey), and awesome powers.
The author breathlessly praised President Obama for steering “away from the poisonous post-9/11 clash of civilizations mythology that drove so much of President George W. Bush’s rhetoric and disastrous policy.” The author continued heaping on the praise over a line in the president’s speech in which he reassured those in the Muslim world that America is not at war with Islam. This was brought out in comparison to President Bush and his “Republican allies” habits of using the word “crusade” (I can’t find an example, therefore, I bet this was taken grossly out of context or said by someone else and the author took liberty to attribute it to President Bush) and referring to our enemies as “Islamic fascists.” Fittingly, the author followed up with the ridiculous claim that America will now deal with the Muslim countries from the side of respect and mutual interests. We will start doing more than just kill their terrorist. We will seek cooperation. President Obama and the author both were a bit disingenuous to be kind. To say that America has behaved or adopted policies otherwise is false and, in fact, is a lie. To those that buy into this nonsense certainly they have not been paying much attention to what the Muslim world has received from America in general, and under the helm of President Bush in particular.
