In lieu of President Obama’s victory supposedly brought on by a “shifting demographic” which favors the Democrats, some high-profile Conservatives are now lamenting that the GOP needs to soften its stance on amnesty for illegals. All of this in theory will allow the GOP to court Latino voters.

A war has opened within the GOP over whether to embrace immigration reform in the wake of President Obama’s thumping of Mitt Romney among Hispanic voters.
Conservative hero Sean Hannity said Thursday he had evolved on immigration reform after Romney lost Hispanics by 40 percentage points to Obama, while Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said a “comprehensive approach” on the issue was “long overdue.”
Pundit Charles Krauthammer wrote Friday that Hispanics should be a natural GOP constituency, which means increasing border security while giving amnesty to those already in the United States illegally.
“Yes amnesty. Use the word. Shock and awe — full legal normalization (just short of citizenship) in return for full border enforcement,” he wrote….
Nothing like reaction to a loss instead of contemplation.

Limbaugh had an interesting take on the GOP flinging amnesty to the masses simply to float the idea that they really, really do love Hispanics – agree to support FULL amnesty for every single illegal alien now in the Country – they just cannot vote for 20 years. If the socialist/Marxist left is truly interested in “fairness”, it should be a no brainer, done by Christmas.

Personally, I am not against some sort of amnesty. Because of the numbers of illegals presently in our nation we are going to have to take some approach that is similar to this. However, if the GOP thinks this is the only way which you woo Hispanic voters then they are either lazy or stupid. Much more needs to be done and it will take some time.
the socialists will never shut the border down. from the south or ocean to ocean. vote amnesty and there will be an invasion that will make the hun invasion of europe look as little leaguers.
