We should apologize for burning Korans. I guess the coalition soldiers that were shot and killed during the protests had it coming.
“I wish to express my deep regret for the reported incident,” Mr. Obama said in a letter to President Hamid Karzai. “I extend to you and the Afghan people my sincere apologies.”
“The error was inadvertent,” Mr. Obama said. “I assure you that we will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible.”

The reporting I saw today states the U.S. military, and their Afghan contacts had agreed that the detainee`s had desecrated those copies of the Koran by writing some form of jihadist comments on the pages, the report further stated both parties agreed to the destruction of the now desecrated books. You most likely will not hear that report much, because that would put an end to the self righteous talk coming from the LSM. If the apologist in chief had reacted to reinstating oil exploration/ drilling permits as quickly as he jumps on any opportunity to bow and scrape to ungrateful terrorist Nations, we could all at least afford to drive to the nearest VFW to support those who the President chooses to slander.
It’s not something I understand, this incessant need to apologize to the religion of peace all the time. I have no desire to see Islam disrespected, or any other religion, for that matter. We are all free to choose our religion and how we will worship God. Their actions over the burning of the Koran, however, are despicable and unnecessary. If Christians were to react in such a manner to someone burning a Bible, they would be quickly put in their place and accused of violence and hateful actions. For some reason, the entire world seems to be reluctant to do the same to the followers of Islam.
LD exactly. It’s almost accepted behavior. “Well, that’s how they are. We have to be careful how we act around them.”
It’s almost like they are wildlife. You know, it’s never really the animals fought. They are just behaving the way they are programmed to behave.
