Obviously, he doesn’t mean embracing Rick Santorum, which I agree totally would be a complete disaster in the general election. Moreover, if Romney can’t win Michigan (his surrogate state) what does that say about him as a national candidate?
Meanwhile, Gingrich is trying again to prove the GOP race is far from over.

In theory if the people really want to replace Obama any Republican nominee can win. The Obama hit squad has been hard at work researching Romney’s background for months and he can utilize every govt agency to attack him, every one from the IRS to the SEC.
Obama is weak and if we history as a standard, Obama should lose. But politics is different today and growing more diffuse each passing election.
When half the nation pays no taxes, Obama has a chance.
Jason, of the half that pay taxes, a much smaller percentage will actually vote again – for anybody. The newness and the shine has worn off Obama, even if the Samuel Jackson`s ( “I voted for him because he was black”) repeat that action – there will be considerably less turnout , he simply has not given the inner city base the free cars, cash, etc. over and above what they already get. His radical base is publicly dissing him, his large donors are publicly saying ‘ not this time’ I think he loses to anyone running. The bigger problem is, do the American people lose if Romney, Santorum, Paul, and in some respects, Gingrich win? Yup! If we don`t completely flush out Congress, it will be same old, same old.
