Apparently not one damn thing. One is considered free speech while the other is being “looked into” as a crime.
- Reid: Probe of Quran Burning Considered
- Lindsey Graham On Koran Burning: “Freedom Of Speech Is A Great Idea But We’re In A War.”
No Mr. Graham, freedom of speech is more than a great idea. It’s a guaranteed right. If you and Senator Reid are trying to put out a fire in Islamland by attacking our freedoms here at home, I assure the two of you that you’ll have a bigger fire right under your noses than you’ll know what to do with. I have a very small but an extremely mean streak of Libertarianism in me. I suspect more Americans that you can count do too.
But let me see if I got this right so that I will understand it. If I don’t like something I can just pile up a bunch of trash, burn it, start a violent riot, chant uncontrollably, kill a few people in the process and I get my way? I actually win by doing that? So that’s all is needed to balance the budget, clean up Washington, and silence leftist progressives? Do I have this all covered?
God Help Us.
