Russia takes up Biden on the offer, even bought into the Kennedy ‘thing’

During the ’08 campaign, the Vice President warned a room full of supporters in what was supposed to be a “closed” door event — meaning no media — that within six months President Obama would be tested with a major foreign policy obstacle because of his perceived inexperience and typical Democrat softness. Over the recent weeks, It is hard to know where to start counting or who to point to because it seems every country bought Joe’s tickets. Iran has done nothing but stepped up its path towards either annihilation or regional dominance. North Korea has put the world on notice that war will ensue if their missile test are molested. China came dangerously close to igniting a war when they sent five navy vessels to engage an unarmed U.S. naval vessel. Russia man-handled Kyrgyzstan to close the U.S. base there that directly undermined our efforts in Afghanistan. Continue reading

Why ‘worrying’ over U.S. debt is the only thing China can do.

Everyone has heard that China holds considerable leverage over the U.S. because of its holdings of Treasuries and other U.S. debt. Presently, Beijing is the biggest foreign creditor to the United States and nearly half of China’s $2 trillion in currency reserves are in U.S. Treasuries. The question on when China ever decided to cash in on its debt, or if the American system someday found itself obsolete to Asia, where would that leave America? Continue reading

Britain has to get tough on Islamic enemies. They can start by doing so at home.

(photo: Telegraph UK) This week images were blasted across television sets of returning British soldiers to streets filled with cheering crowds. Except not everyone in the crowd was cheering happily for their safe return. Some in the crowd where cheering … Continue reading

President Obama receives failing grade by economist after 50 days in office

(photo from Earthhopenetwork) The United States has had a general role for the federal government and the economy. That is, the two should never strike a bargain with the other. Over time that principle has been challenged — mainly during … Continue reading

A Blast from the Past in Northern Ireland?

Dissenters in Northern Ireland are making themselves known once again through violence. The recent killing of two British soldiers over the weekend and the murder of a police officer on Monday has no doubt raised serious concerns in the U.K. The Real IRA, splinter group of dissenters, claimed responsibility for the attacks and are reliving the old dream of the IRA. That dream was a very passionate desire to snatch Northern Ireland, by any means, out of the United Kingdom, and join it to the Republic of Ireland. Continue reading

A Global Embarrassment: Do We Now Need A Hospitality Czar?

(photo: Judiciary Report)   I remember not so long ago this sort of stuff was mocked and considered an embarrassment to all the culturally aware and sophisticated Americans in the country. Just the very site of Bush’s “strut” was known to cause some to … Continue reading

It is not cool to blame President Obama…yet. But soon his policies must meet the test

(photo: Beervana) In the meantime, we must all continue to stick to blaming Bush. The argument that Obama is somehow responsible for the collapse of Wall Street is absurd. First, every major policy that led to this collapse occurred under … Continue reading

A PC scrubbing of student text books depicts Islam in favorable light

It is always much easier to brush aside the details or avoid problematic situations than it is to deal directly with a problem. It always has been and that is why we have a word for it: Cowardice. That is exactly what our education system runs off of. We are falling behind the curve educationally in this country not because Americans have all the sudden lost their ability to learn or that teachers are not paid enough. We’ve lost direction morally and the willingness to think critically. Our nation’s education system is now, and has been for quiet sometime, an institution for indoctrination based heavily on social sciences that are slanted towards irresponsible and unrealistic world point of views. So Eric Holder was right that we are a nation of cowards though not by the standards he laid out. In fact, it is just the opposite and it all starts with stories like this. Continue reading

We need a little good news from time to time

At times, America has away of reminding you of her greatest resource and that resource has always been her people. Everyday heroic actions and kindness from strangers guarantees that our nation survives. Such is the case with a young child and someone simply doing their job as a citizen. Because of someone’s heroic actions one more child will have a chance to grow up and live her dreams. Unfortunately, a dinner table will have an empty seat tonight in America as the result of a tragic accident. But the heroic actions of this man prevented the loss of a young precious life. Continue reading
